Obviously we went through all of this yesterday. We will be revisiting. Just run yesterday's show. We can go home. There's no doubt some more updates with Florentino Perez speaking right now. So a little later on in the show, Alex Kirkland will be joining us. But we're going to get to some more concrete information right now. Told you yesterday. Oh, okay.'s not rocket science. And Doni Irola, it's official.

Liverpool gives me the chance to coach top players and top players give you the chance to fight for titles.

To win titles.

coming in at Liverpool.

1:04.6

We talked about it a lot here in the studio Alex and one of the feelings that even though

1:09.8

we know he's in high demand and everybody

1:11.4

really respects everything he's done so far, this is a big step up for him. How is it being viewed in

1:16.4

Spain? Yeah, a lot of excitement. People loving here, of course, the sort of the dominance of Spanish

coaches and Basque coaches in particular in the Premier League with Mikhail Arteta, Jabi Alonso, Unae Emery and now Iraola as well. People I think accept that this is a big challenge. I think as far as I'm concerned, it's maybe a slightly bigger step than I would have thought. Irole has been very careful, I think, to sort of manage his career so far in terms of the choices he's made. You know, here in Spain, he was at Mirandes, a small club in the second division, did well, went to Rio, a small club in the first division, did well, went to Bournemouth. Everybody knows about the job that he's done there. I think I knew that he was going to go to a big club next because of the job that he's done. But Liverpool, I mean, it doesn't get much bigger than this, really. And so it's going to be a different level of pressure, of scrutiny than he's used to. We know at Bournemouth and his other clubs as well, it took a little while for him to get his ideas across because he's got quite a particular vision of how he wants his players to play. Of course, communication now, not as much of an issue because his English has improved in his time at Bournemouth. But people here are really fascinated to see, I think, how he does at Liverpool and how he competes next season. Like I say, against Javier Lonzo at Chelsea, against Mikhail Ateta at Arsenal as well. It's officially official, and now we can start putting the work in. Obviously, a lot of the people are away. Well, now we can call Stevie, which is day off today. So it's 5 o'clock, so we phone him and get him out his bed. Yeah, he can still be in his bed, you know. We'll phone him and tell him that Andoni Ariaola has been announced and you can get up. But it is exciting for him, and I think he's ready for that next step and he has done a magnificent job at

Bournemouth you know so look at the players they sold you know Zabanyi Howison Semenio

2:58.6

Kerquez Kotara the list goes on and yet yeah the club signed well but he still had to

gel those players together almost got them in the Champions League.

3:08.3

This is the next step, but it's a huge step, as Alex said.

This club, like most of the elite clubs in England,
