someone who can help us about the Iranian threats ever since the Ayatollah appointed

his finger during the funeral of a Hamas gangster. There has been an impatient

puzzlement about Iran following through on the Ayatollah's threats. We

welcome Saeed Gassamanajad, a senior Iran and financial economics advisor at the Foundation for the Defense of democracies.

It's the economy not very well informed person. I think I can update that phrase, Said, it's the economy.

The Iranian regime has an economy that appears fragile if not broken from the outside. Is that economy's vulnerability

holding the hand of the Ayatollah who made that threat during the funeral?

Hi and thank you for having me.

I'm actually, I actually don't think their economy is that bad at this point,

mainly because the Biden administration has really not

enforced a sanction. They are not enforcing a sanction. They announce sanction

against this for that company time to time, but they have intentionally

decided to dismantle the sanctions regime by not doing the necessary maintenance works.

So sanctions are like, you know, the wall

that armies used to build around the castle

when they wanted to insert it

to make sure inputs do not get in.

Such wall obviously need maintenance,
