as well as a fellow of the Foundation for the Defense of Democracy, Seth Ransman,

who is the author of the new book, The October 7th War.

However, right now we're dealing with the eve of the American election

and threats by the Ayatollah of the Islamic Republic of Iran,

following the Israeli answer to the Islamic Republic's barrage

of ballistic missiles, there was talk that that would be the end of it. There was talk that Iran

was passing on through whatever back channel they have, that we will not retaliate again.

And then these headlines come up and we don't know what

to make of them. So we'll start there. Seth, a very good day to you. The Ayatollah says counter.

There are reports from Jerusalem that members of the cabinet have said there may be, there will be a

very strong counter. What do we know now about these

threats and the possibility of another barrage? Good day to you. Good day to you.

Well, the Iranians have been, you know, saying that they want to attack Israel again. They

pose this as if it's retaliation, but in fact, we have to remember that

it was Israel that was retaliating on, you know, last month. So Iran always pretends that it's the

one that's defending when in fact it's attacking. And it appears that Iran feels this is in its

interests to continue to hold this kind of sword over

the region in which it always makes everyone wait for what it's going to do next. And it thinks

that this is kind of a good way to hold the region hostage in a way because it doesn't actually
