Iran links to these three episodes requiring explication because they look to be all in different directions in different geographies.

But, Bill, a very good evening to you. Your headline with your colleague Joe Truthman, Iran-backed malicious

attack US forces in Western Iraq at the Aine-Alasad Air Base. Has this base been hit before? Who attacked it? And is this more of the

threats and actions by Iran-backed militias since the beginning of the Gaza War?

Is it discontinuous or the same thing?

Good evening, John. Yes, this is part of the Iran's wider campaign to target both

Israel as well as the United States in the Middle East.

Iran seeks to drive the US out of the Middle East as well as level of defeat

against Israel, most likely by getting some type of negotiated agreements.

So Iran's putting the pressure on the US for that part of the equation against Israel,

right?

If they can get the US to curb Israel's attacks in or operations in Gaza,

that's a victory and if they can get the US to pull out of the Middle East also a victory for the Iranians.

This is, these attacks, now what was interesting about this attack over the weekend at the
