These guys who are launching attacks under the name the Islamic resistance in Iraq these are Iraqi-based militias and they have

ties like quite deep ties with Iran but, I guess the main thing to sort of, to emphasize is that this isn't actually a new group that has been attacking U.S. military sites in Iraq.

They have been around for quite some time,

some since like, well, since the US invasion really in 2003.

So, obviously, let's go to when the Gaza war starts, that's October 7th.

The first attack by this brand let's say is on October the 17th and no one's really

taking responsibility for it.

It's under the brand name, the Islamic resistance in Iraq.

And as the weeks go by, more and more

of these Iraqi militias that obviously predate this organization, you know, come out and say,

oh yeah, we are going to attack the United States if they continue supporting Israel

and its war on Gaza.

So yeah, I may as well list them at this point.

We have Harakat Hezbollah al-Nuzaba,

and then Ashab al-Kahaf, A-Sib al-Hahabh al-Qahaf, Asa-Ahahab-Hahl al-Hak and Kataib Hezbollah.

Some people might recognize the names because they're so old. One to note specifically is Katai Hezbollah, they're a really

really big group and they've been designated as a terrorist organization since 2009 by the United States

because they've been attacking them for so long.
