So I can't say that I'm all that surprised about this early one, this first story today over here.

Can't say I'm surprised.

I, well many had speculated leading up to the release of the iPhone 12 that there there would be some

compromises. I mean there always is right you're trying to make a smartphone. You got to do some things. You got to make some

choices. You got to I mean there's some selections. You say I got to be this thin, I want to be this

tight, I want to have this chip, I want to have this screen size.

How much are you willing to give up?

Well that's the question.

That's the question every time, isn't it?

And you know, previously Apple had always put a huge emphasis on thinness and lightness and kind of really compact something you put in your hand and right away like, oh, all right, I like that. That's kind of was a big focus. The appeal, the initial, the visceral reaction, as you would have to holding one of these things.

And people had complained in the past about battery life, for example,

and having smaller battery figures than some of the competition,

and then the iPhone 11 happened.

And when the iPhone 11 happened, they took battery real serious and they set the bar quite high for themselves.

And so when I saw this new design knowing I had to rework everything there and I saw the initial battery figures,

just on a scale of the batteries, and I know they said they were going to do software optimizations and everything else, but you wonder how much they could do in the amount of time.

He's still running relatively similar software.

And so the speculation started to emerge that maybe we take a bit of a step back on battery life when it comes to the iPhone 12 in exchange for this new design.

And it's a very sort of slim appeal and we have some of the initial tests they're in now. We have
