Inflation has been a big story throughout this year, and it certainly has done a number

on Americans who are saving for a rainy day.

One in four Americans is investing less and devoting that money to paying for everyday expenses,

according to a Wells Fargo survey, and more than half of Americans are behind on retirement

savings.
