Hey, welcome to Invention. My name is Robert Lam. And I'm Joe McCormick. And today we're going to

be beginning an exploration of the invention of air conditioning. This is going to be a multi-part

series. And for the purpose of this conversation, we're not going to be talking about all cooling

refrigeration, all making stuff colder technology that has ever existed. We're going to be focusing

on the invention of systems primarily for cooling and removing humidity from interior spaces,

primarily but not exclusively for the comfort of humans and other animals.
