But today I'm actually here to tell you about another new podcast that we are producing

called The Last Ride. The Last Ride is a true crime podcast about two young men of color who both

weren't missing in Naples, Florida nearly two decades ago. Felipe Santos and Terrence Williams

vanished three months apart on the same road and they were both last seen with the same white

chair of Stepety. Their disappearances haunt their families, local police, and the journalists who

covered the case. Reported by some of these veteran local journalists with USAIDA Network,

this eight episode podcast delves into the mystery, a mystery that reveals painful truths about police

accountability and media coverage of missing people. The episodes include details never heard before,

as well as exclusive interviews with media mogul Tyler Perry, famous civil rights attorney Ben

Crump and the parents of Terrence Williams. Our journalist traveled to Tennessee,

rural Illinois and Iowa in search of answers. And the host actually first covered the story as a

cub reporter, was also the last journalist to interview the deputy 16 years ago.

I just had this feeling all over me and I just started praying. I knew something was wrong,

come on the nose. In 2003 and 2004, two young men of color disappeared from Naples, Florida,

a small coastal town in the Gulf of Mexico. The men vanish just three months apart under

eerie and similar circumstances. Been acquibbling it off for 35 years and I'll tell you flat out,

it's the strangest case and most unsettling case. Felipe Santos and Terrence Williams were last

seen on the same road with the same cop. Deputy Stephen Calkins, who is white. Calkins is the

only person of interest. He denies wrongdoing and has never been charged. No one has.

The circumstances were so disturbing that filmmaker Tyler Perry got involved.
