Hey there everyone, it's James Lindsay, welcome to a very special episode of the new

Discourses Podcast. On this episode of the podcast, I'm going to be announcing you probably

will have heard by now depending on what I've done. Letting loose anyway on the idea that fact,

fact, that there is a new book coming out by me soon that's going by the title of Race Marxism,

The Truth about Critical Race Theory and Praxis. Publishing it through new discourses, so it's not

with some major trade publisher or anything like that, so I appreciate any support you can give,

any support you can give to it because not going through the usual channels to get this out,

the goal is to get it out quickly rather than bogging it down in the long production process.

And so what I want to do is kind of introduce this book, tell you a little bit about it,

hopefully get you excited to want to read its complete argument and run along with that and do

what you can with it. So in this episode of the podcast, I'm going to give you a little bit of a

taste of what this book is about. I'll warn you, it's long, it is, in fact, over 100,000 words.

It's obviously about Critical Race Theory, both in theory and in praxis, which is to say how

it is put into practice in conjunction with theory. Praxis is this like three step process where

theory inspires action, action inspires reflection, reflections inspires modification to the theory.

So you can actually also say that praxis is practice with reflection where the mirror or the

speculum involved is theory, theoretical lens, if you will, as they've said, you can think of it as a

mirror. And so this book is supposed to outline what Critical Race Theory is, where it comes from

how it works and some stuff we can do about it. And it's not succinct because the story is long.

The exciting part about this book is that I didn't believe when I started to write it,

I started to write this book. I did not believe that Critical Race Theory is race Marxism.
