to get you ready for the new film, Downton Abbey, a new era by talking to the actors and behind

the scenes professionals who've made this world come to life.

We have all been outsiders.

And that sort of mixture of wanting to belong, but at the same time, resenting the people who won't let us belong.

That's what I'm writing about.

And I think that's what people love about the

shows and it's the crossover of those relationships between above and below stairs. One thing I didn't

want for Branson was to be stoic. And I think what worked so well is the fact that Branson was like,

this is literally everything. My heart and soul is literally disappearing from me. So I kind of love that they let me just go for that.

It was really lovely. Always with Edith's stuff, whenever I sort of wished her well and wanted

her to get her happy ending, there was always like the thrill of when something really horrendous

happened. It was going to be quite good for you acting-wise to have quite a

meaty storyline. I don't think I've ever heard all those voices together in one place. We can't wait

to revisit Downton Abbey with you as we head toward the new film. I know, Jacqueline, I am so

excited and we cannot wait to share all those conversations
