And I'm Frank Schon.

We are the hosts of a new podcast called Asian Enough.

It takes on the questions that many Asian Americans wrestle with.

Like, am I Asian Enough?

Am I American enough?

And what of those questions even mean?

I cover culture and diaspora for the Los Angeles Times,

and before that I wrote about the Asian American community

and the San Gabriel Valley, and I just started to notice that there

are a lot of things that Asian Americans say to each other that they never say in public.

And I just thought what are we scared of?

I cover film and entertainment here which means I get to sit down with so many

talented Asian Americans but we seldom get to really deep dive into issues of

cultural identity or their experiences.

So on this podcast, we'll sit down with special guests

like actor John Cho, director Lou Lu Wong,

chef Nicki Nakaama,

TV host Padma Lakshmi and comedian Margaret Cho and more.

There is like the disconnective.

We want you to be fully Americanized,

but then when you grow up and you are, it's a disappointment somehow.
