Welcome to All About Agatha, the podcast dedicated to reading and ranking, every single mystery novel written by the Queen of Crime, Dame Agatha Christie. I am Kemper Donovan, and I'm so excited about the interview I'm about to bring you because it is about a topic and a book that I think very many of you will enjoy.

But before we get to that interview, I wanted to let everyone, especially in the Los Angeles area, know that I will be appearing at the LA Times Festival of Books.

This is happening one week after the initial release of this episode. It is a big old

book festival here in Southern California, a huge event for book lovers. And I'm honestly really

honored to have been invited to appear on a panel titled We're So Back, beloved series characters

in mystery. So this is happening at 1.30 p.m. at the festival on

Sunday, April 19th. The festival is taking place on the USC campus this year. I have provided a link in the

show notes for more information for anyone who might be able to attend. And if you do, don't attend

just for me. I mean, this is a bit of a mecca each year for those who read lots of books.

I have definitely attended past L.A. Times Book Festivals as a fan.

I mean, where else at one massive two-day event are you going to be able to hear from

Amy Tan, Lisa Rina, Susan Orlean, Lionel Richie,

Margaret Atwood, David Dukovny, S.A. Cosby, Valerie Bertinelli, Stacey Abrams, Sarah Jessica

Parker, Susan Lucci. The list truly does go on and on. All of those people are

attending this year. And it's thrilling to be a part of it. And I should mention that my co-panelists

for the event are the fabulous mystery authors Margo Duayhi, who writes the Sister Holiday series of

mysteries. I am actually going to be having Margo on my next episode

of the podcast to talk about those very mysteries. So this just feels like Kismet. And also,

El Kozumano, who writes the Finley-Donovan mystery series, which are very, very beloved,

and a ton of fun. So the three of us will be appearing at that festival.
