I am so pleased to be sitting down with Nida Proze, who is the debut author of the recent

hit mystery novel The Made.

It's been a big ol' bestseller, and I absolutely loved it.

And while this may be Nida's first published book in the guise of author, she is actually

no stranger to the world of publishing, having worked as a book editor for many years.

And she is the vice president and editorial director at Simon & Schuster in Toronto, Canada,

where she lives.

I find this impressive in and of itself that you are the vice president and editorial director

at Simon & Schuster.

But also this means that you have a truly holistic view of the publishing process.
