As we enter into the Memorial Day weekend,

to honor those who died for this country, where are we?

We see a country that is really struggling

with any degree of commitment to fight

what our leaders all call a war against this pandemic.

Virus is making a resurgence,

and our president instead of dealing with what he says

as a war seems intent to divide us

in some distraction of some kind of holy war,

ordering churches open.

Look, the law is clear.

Trump has zero power to override governors

on reopening houses of worship.

No governor wants to keep churches

or any place of worship closed.

We have a governor tonight from his own party

who strongly advised against filling places of prayer.

So why did the president make the call

to want this this way?
