I am Katie Rich and I'm here for today's interview episode with Rebecca Ford.

Hi Katie.

So we have another interview to share today with an actor recorded right before the SAG actress strike began.

The day of the Emmy nominations because not only is Cheryl Lee Ralph a Emmy nominee once again for her role in Ebid Elementary,

but she's been on the SAG negotiating committee.

So she was really having an interesting series of emotions on the Emmy nominations announcement day.

I'm imagining.

Yeah, I think you could really hear it even in her voice.

Obviously we did it over a video so I could see her.

But you could tell she was just kind of juggling a lot in her mind.

I mean, I think it's such a special honor for her to be recognized after such an incredible career to finally sort of get this recognition she always deserved.

But you know, at the same time she was pulling off her headphones because she had just been in a negotiating call on the day of the Emmy nominations.

So it seemed very surreal for her for sure.

Yeah, and like we've already published some of her thoughts on the SAG negotiations.

You know, she won the Emmy last year for Ebid Elementary in really an incredible moment.
