There are estimated to be more than 360 million Christians facing persecution for their faith around the world today, according to Open Doors USA, an organization that advocates on behalf of the persecuted church. While persecution of Christians is severe in nations like North Korea, there are about "50 to 60 countries where there is intense levels of persecution," says David Curry, the president and CEO of Open Doors USA.
