Hello fellow rebel capitals, hope you're well. I'm here with my good buddy, Brent Johnson, who has done a deep dive on the macro ramifications or what could be a macro ramifications based on history or all around what happened

and we'll call it Saturday night. I just, it's just, you know, it's just such a dark stain

on American history, it's just such a dark stain on American history it's just such a sad event and so

anyway I hate to even use the word assassination attempt but that's what it was so no I mean that's well it you know it's interesting

George is me and a couple of my colleagues we had started working on not necessarily

a paper about assassinations but just a paper about when policy changed dramatically

due to dramatic events.

And just some of them happen to be in assassinations.

And because, you know, prior to Saturday, you know, I think you and I have talked about

this and I've mentioned this several different times on on our show and different interviews I've

given that we just think that this year, before

before Saturday even happened that this would be a really crazy year in politics

because we didn't think either side would accept whatever the outcome is, right?

Yeah, yeah. And so we had already kind, and that's kind of why we had started working on this paper.

I mean, and then Saturday happened and it just made it even more relevant so we

cranked pretty hard for the next two or three days to get this out so that it's

timely but to your point I mean mean this changes history.

It really does.

And I don't know how it will change history.

And I don't know the specifics.

And, you know, kind of one of the things that we pointed out

is that a lot of times you don't know for years or even decades, you know, what the outcome of such an event is, but what's clear is in hindsight and because unfortunately we have several examples to look at is that it does change history.
