Summary

I welcome investigative historian, author and journalist Tony McMahon to the show in this interview episode.

With a background as a print, TV and online reporter and producer, Tony approaches history from an investigative angle. He looks into the past to uncover the truth about seemingly unsolvable mysteries. His job is to distinguish fact from fiction - history from mystery.

Tony has been a BBC news producer, an award-shortlisted author, print journalist, historian, on-screen TV expert, documentary producer, and communications consultant to government clients on terrorism and other social harms.

He also regularly pops up on history and science documentaries broadcast on History, Discovery, Channel 5, Curiosity, ITV and other channels around the word.

'Jack the Ripper and Abraham Lincoln' is Tony's newest book. It reveals the incredible story of a man, Francis Tumblety, arrested over both the assassination of President Lincoln in 1865 and the Jack the Ripper killings in 1888.

Set to be published by Troubador Publishing on May 28, 2024, you can pre-order a copy here:
