or news that made it into the national news cycle, but was overshadowed.

Then we go over some questions from y'all.

On this date, June 28, 1776, the final draft of the Declaration of Independence was submitted to Congress.

Today is Paul Bunyan Day.

Okay, and on to the news.

Off the coast of Alaska, that cargo ship carrying thousands of new cars that caught fire has finally sank.

Elsewhere in the state, hundreds were evacuated as wildfires spread. In Alabama, an Iranian man was picked up by immigration authorities.

Almost immediately, right-wing media started creating theories and sensationalizing the situation.

That abruptly ended when his wife disclosed he was a Trump supporter.

Cops in Alabama are wondering, Scooby-Doo-Doo, where are you?

After a person dressed in a Scooby-Doo costume broke into a quick stop and allegedly took coins and cash,

jinkies.

In Arizona, the governor vetoed two Republican budget proposals and called them a sham.

In California, gas prices are expected to surge starting around July 1st.

Colorado breathed a sigh of relief when the Senate's rulekeeper blocked a proposal to sell public lands in the state.

It was revised and narrowed, and Republicans are still trying to include it.

In Georgia, a 19-year-old man was shot while he was sleeping. He did not survive.
