Man, huge day for the Cyclones today out in Hilton Coliseum.

Coming up with an 81 to 52 win over Texas,

probably the best 40 minutes that the cyclones have played since their win over

Oklahoma last month, undoubtedly their best 40 minutes since they played Oklahoma last month.

And that, you know, I think that obviously you have to take into

account the fact that Texas didn't have Jericho Sims. Matt Coleman doesn't

look quite right he only played 19 minutes today for the long horns, but either way, Iowa State played exponentially

better than they did Wednesday night against Oklahoma to turn a 29-point loss against the

sooner's into a 29-point win over the Longhorns today.

A couple shoutouts. First of all, man, we got to give a huge round of applause I think to Michael

Jacobson, his best game of the season

his probably his best performance since having 16 rebounds and 14 points on back-to-back days at the Big 12 tournament last year against

Kansas State in Kansas. He finishes with 21 points, 13 rebounds,

while going 8 of 9 from the field, 2 of 2 from behind the 3 point line. I mean Mike was absolutely

phenomenal today and you know I think you can give a lot of credit to to his his

running mate in the front court. Solomon Young who at four for five from the field, nine to ten from the

free throw line, 17 points in five boards.

I would say completely owned the paint in this game.
