Hello, everybody. You know, it's really hard to believe, but this week marks the one-year

anniversary of How Leaders Lead with me, David Dovak. So I thought, you know, now would be a great

time to introduce our new Insight series, where I share with you my top insights and lessons

that I've learned from talking to the best leaders in the world.

When we launched How Leaders Lead a year ago, I set out to bring you candid conversations with the

world's top leaders so that you could learn about their unique style of leadership and how

they get such incredibly good things done.

Now, over the course of the year, people were listening to my podcast, and they started

to ask me, they said, David, you know, what are you learning from all these people you're

interviewing? What are your key takeaways from the conversation? Well, that's what this

series is all about. So let's get to work

and let's start this insight series by focusing on avid learning. What stood out to me among the

leaders that I talked to is that they've all demonstrated a real commitment to continuous

learning throughout their careers. They all learn by doing.

They all ask a lot of questions, and then they listen closely for real insights, and then

at some stage in their career, each of them has learned from failure.

They're what I call avid learners.

Now, to me, being an avid learner is a big part of what it takes to be a great leader.

It shows you that they have the humility to realize that they don't know everything,

but they also have the determination and the sense of urgency to go out and find the answers

and get the knowledge that will move their
