My name is Rob Maower, not a whole lot of news to cover today, but quite the day for

Tesla stock, finishing up 8.17% to $193.60.

This compared to the NASDAQ also a very, very strong macro day in the NASDAQ up 2.65 percent.

I'm as happy as anybody with the up 8 percent, but bear in mind, again, strong macro day.

Other companies had similar performances to Tesla today,

although Tesla's was amongst the best.

But for example, GM was up 6%, Fiat Chrysler up 4%,

Time Law up 4%, stocks like Invidia up 7%, etc.

It makes sense that Tesla as a high beta stock would move a little bit more,

especially coming off of the last six months that were coming off of,

Tesla bouncing a little bit harder, particularly

than some of the other automakers isn't super surprising.

Two main reasons for the macro bump that we saw today.

First was commentary from Fed Chairman Jerome Powell that indicated that the Fed may consider cutting

interest rates in the midst of the ongoing global trade tensions.

Secondarily, some positive comments were made by Mexico's foreign minister regarding the tariffs on Mexico saying quote by what we have seen so far we will be able to reach an agreement

That is why I think the imposition of tariffs can be avoided."

However, later on in a press conference in London, Trump addressed Mexico tariffs by saying,

quote, we're going to see if we can do something, but I think it's more likely that the tariffs go on."
