Hey guys, welcome to the Bill Barnwell show. I am Bill Barnwell. Today, very excited to talk to a friend of the show about a very exciting new podcast series coming out elsewhere, a five-part series on the competition

and evolution inside the NFL's youngest coaching tree called The Play Callers.

Joining us to talk about that is the athletics, Jordan Rodriguez Jordan.

Jordan, you have been laboring over this for how long exactly?

The last year.

Yeah, it's been grueling.

Only a year for these podcasts.

A really, really cool idea.

And I told you, I will be up front. I have listened to almost two

of the series so far. And they are incredible. I've learned so much about people who I thought

I knew or I had some idea about. I've learned, frankly, how much these coaches from this coaching tree curse,

which I was not aware of.

But more than anything, I think it's been so fascinating so far to hear how much these coaches

have opened up to you and how much insight you get into the elements of being an NFL

coach, especially coming up, that's the part I'm listening to now, that you don't get to hear

anywhere else. So I want to start just from the very sort of beginnings of the idea. And I just

want to set the scene for people in terms of where this

begins. So go back a year for me. Go back to your initial thoughts. Go back to what ties everyone

together here in this coaching tree. Yeah. Thanks, Bill, for the question. And yes, it is like oxygen, certain words that

they use. It's like how we use commas. They use other words, which is fine. I mean, that's

coaching. That's real. That's what it sounds like inside these buildings. So, okay, so I pitched this project a year ago, and that's when they said yes is when I started

like the real series reporting on it.
