I'm going to take off a few stories that have come out over the last week.

Stories about how the federal government is processing immigrants in this country and their families.

Let's start with this. Over the weekend, the president's borders are confirmed that the U.S. had deported U.S. citizens.

Children, along with their moms, who are undocumented.

One kid was undergoing treatment for cancer.

Now they're going to have to figure that out in Honduras.

Then, in Oklahoma, a local news organization reported

that federal agents broke down the door of a US citizenS. citizen family.

They were looking for the people who used to live in their home, reportedly.

The agents confiscated the family's phones and computers for good measure.

And on Monday, the White House was dotted with lawn signs,

identifying people who'd been ejected from the country, allegedly for criminal activity.

In this flurry of news, it's easy to forget that somewhere in Louisiana, migrant students, are detained.

Still, these are people like Mahmood Khalil, who recently graduated from Columbia and had his green card revoked.

Then there's Rumaesa Osterk. She's the Tufts University student, who was taken off the street back in March.

Osterk was handcuffed at the corner of Mason Street and Electric

Avenue in Somerville, Massachusetts. That is smack in the middle of Ianna Presley's

congressional district. I knew within hours of Rumaesa's abduction, and I do consider her to be a political prisoner, that I would be

finding my way to wherever she was being detained.

Ianna Presley visited Osterk and Khalil at the Basile and Gina detention centers last week,

along with the few congressional colleagues.
