I'm sure you've heard about the dark web, but do you know really what it is?

It's a place on the Internet where criminals sell illegal drugs.

They launder money and they commit other crimes, often with little or no repercussions.

It's a place where hackers buy your stolen credit card credentials, your account numbers, your passwords, your IDs.

There are black markets on the dark web.

counterfeit currency, wurched documents, unlicensed pharmaceuticals, steroids, and other illicit goods.

You can't find the dark web using a basic Google search. You have to use

special tools like Tor, and you need to know exactly what you're doing. I don't recommend going

to the dark web. It's an easy way to get your system hacked and see things that, well, you just

can't unsee. And whenever there's a data breach, that data comes up for sale on the dark web. Like,

here are some recent cases. Estee Lauder. 440 million internet records were reportedly exposed

due to some security failures. Yeah, that was this year. Also this year, Marriott. The hotel

chain suffered a cyber attack in which email accounts were infiltrated.

5.2 million hotel guests were impacted.
