A little bit later, Bruce and I have on Cody Campbell, the Texas Tech billionaire booster that you've all heard a lot about. We finally get to hear from him, not just about Texas Tech, but his involvement in trying to save college sports. First up, our friend Ralph Russo, frequent guest of the show.

Ralph, you oversaw the AP poll at the AP for 20 years.

And now that you're with us, you've done quite a heel turn.

Yeah, that is a very good way of putting it, Stu.

I am now a voter. I am on that side of the poll for the first time in 20 years after being the guy who, you know, I know the headline on our story says, like I ran the poll. That might be a bit strong. There are a lot of people that it takes a village to get that thing

together and to the wire. I definitely oversaw it and I definitely had a big, played a big role in

getting it out there, picking voters, things along those lines. Ran the poll might be a little

bit of an extreme, but it was definitely an interesting experience to be on the other side of the fence. And as I wrote in the column that posted earlier today, for years, I could tell

people, because often people would ask me, so how did you vote? And I would politely and gleefully

correct them and say, well, I don't vote and I'd explain my role. So my line that I would

use all the time is, don't blame me, I don't vote. But now you can blame me because I do vote.

All right, Ralph, so let's start with that. Let's blame you for some stuff. I'm looking at your vote

in addition to the rankings that came out in the AP top 25 Monday morning,

and kind of comparing it a little bit to the coaches poll that came out last week.

And the coaches poll didn't even have Oklahoma ranked.

The AP top 25 has the Sooners coming in at number 18. You are driving that as

much as anybody because you have them number 12. So let's get to this. So you are a huge believer.

You are driving the Sooners bandwagon right now. Rent Venables, three seasons there, two losing seasons.

It's only the two losing seasons that the Sooners have had in like the last 30 years or

28 years have been on his watch.
