Hey, everyone. Welcome to The Sarah Carter Show. I'm your host, Sarah Carter. And I have a very special

episode for you today of the Sarah Carter Show. And this is regarding a trip

that I recently made to El Salvador. As you know, my focus has always really been the Western

Hemisphere, drug cartels, human trafficking issues, as well as those issues that affect our national

security, which is what took me to war zones many times

in my career. This trip was extra special. I had the opportunity to not only speak to President

Naibu Keli, who has done a phenomenal job in turning his nation around from a gang state, narco state,

into one of the safest countries in the Western Hemisphere,

if not the world.

But he's also created a system by which he can do this.

How did he do it?

He targeted the street gangs, which had become like massive organizations,

particularly Mara Salvatrucha, MS-13, as we all know, Barrio de Siochio and other gangs

that were controlling the streets of El Salvador.

He basically targeted them as terrorist organizations.

So no longer were they just transnational gangs.

He was able to, under the law, take them into custody, meaning he can pick up these terrorists
