I'm your host, Josephine Hartman, and I would love to welcome you into this bonus episode of my new series called Inner Revolution. You may have recently heard my first

episode of this series. And let me also clarify that the official second episode is going to be

coming out later this week on Saturday, always new episodes on Saturdays.

But today, in the meantime, I felt inspired to put out this little bonus episode

where we can talk about an important question as we go deeper and as we start this journey of

inner revolution together. So that question is, what have you cast into shadow and what

needs to be reclaimed from the shadow for you.

So let me give first a little bit of a primer about what I mean with these questions.

And that requires us to go back to your upbringing. Wherever that was, however that

happened, whoever was around or responsible for teaching you, nurturing you, all of that,

whatever your schooling was, at some point, you were growing up. and in the midst of growing up, I bet I would, I feel

it's pretty safe to make this kind of bet because most humans have had this experience

at one time or another. So I would bet that at some point in your upbringing

and in your process of developing into who you are today, at some point your true self

was deemed unacceptable by someone else.

Or really, I mean some aspect of your true self.

Some aspect of your authentic self, who you really are, your higher self,

was deemed unacceptable by someone.

Maybe a parent, maybe a teacher, maybe a peer, or some other authority

figure, maybe it was a whole society or institution or school or whatever that said to you,
