President Donald Trump said a lot of progress has been made toward ending the war in Ukraine

after French President Emmanuel Macron joined him at the White House for a call

with group of seven leaders Monday. Macron called for emergency gathering of world leaders

after the Trump administration excluded Europe from sitting at the negotiating table to settle

a war between Ukraine in Russia. Macron first arrived at the White House around 8 a.m. local time

and was inside for several hours while he was leaving, Macron gave us thumbs

up to reporters. Meeting together in front of the press, Donald Trump says he still wants to help Ukraine.

We're helping Ukraine like nobody's ever helped Ukraine before. And I can say this. If I didn't

become president, Ukraine would right now still be at a level

where there would be no even thinking about a peace.

And it was a, it's a sad thing that this happened.
