I sure am, and we have Farmer Nick back on the show. The plant person, I guess, is the

thing I will call you. I don't really know. You have so many different sort of interests

much like myself. You just into almost every aspect of it. Plus tying it to different levels

of society and sustainability. We're talking today, Nick, about your indoor apartment

gardening game, not necessarily your houseplant game. So I know you said you grew up, you're

farming in 2014 on your parents' plot, right? And then life took you in a different direction,

a more standard, I guess, millennial, aged guy direction. And you're in an apartment,

right? And so houseplants came first, and then you've done some farming as well. So I'm

curious what kind of stuff you're growing in these smaller spaces.

Yeah, I mean, having a 620 square foot apartment sharing it with another human in 80-pound

chocolate lab and 100 houseplants, I think, how can I possibly garden in this space? And

I really missed my garden back home with my parents, and I had a nice plot there. But,

you know, I had to get creative with space. And, you know, I said, okay, what if I tried

a couple big things? Let's go big to start. And I tried tomatoes, and I had a nice

new window. And I had these things grown. They were probably like seven, eight feet tall.

And then I realized, shoot, I'm going to, I'm going to have to hand pollinate all these

tomatoes, because I don't have any more pollinators, right? So I'm literally getting up there

with my paintbrush. I'm trying to just, you know, make the magic happen, set the mood,

I guess you could say, for this tomato plant. And it really just was a waste of time and

resources. I tried my best, but we struggled there a little bit. I've got a few tomatoes,

but by no means was it as prolific as it would be outdoors. So kind of moved away from that.
