Summary

(00:00-26:51) – Query & Company opens on a Monday with Jake Query, Jimmy Cook, and producer Eddie Garrison highlighting the weekends for the Pacers, Indiana Hoosiers, Purdue Boilermakers, and Butler Bulldogs. An hour prior to the show, Mike Woodson met with reporters and said something that alarmed Jake. He shares his thoughts on what IU’s head coach said.

(26:51-42:20) – Don Fischer, radio voice of Indiana Hoosiers basketball, makes his weekly visit on Query & Company to access the latest loss for the Hoosiers against Penn State, reveals why Indiana has struggled as of late, highlights if Mike Woodson has hinted at the learning curve as a college basketball coach has been steeper than he anticipated from when he first took the job, and shares one of the players that he really liked watching during his time at Indiana.

(42:20-49:24) – Hour one concludes quickly with Jake getting Jimmy and Eddie’s guesses on the team that sells the least apparel at a sports store in Las Vegas. After their guesses, Jake reveals which team in the NFL, NBA, and MLB.

(44:00-1:10:11) – Over the weekend, there was some NIL news in college athletics with a judge in Tennessee granting an injunction that essentially puts an end to NIL rules. Now, boosters and collectives are allowed to have direct conversation with high school recruits or players in the transfer portal to influence their decision to attend a specific college.

(1:10:11-1:29:17) – Les Morris, adjunct NIL branding professor at Indiana University, joins Query & Company to breakdown the events that have led to where things are at right now with the NCAA and NIL. Explains that schools are not involved with NIL deals, that players/recruits can now demand a specific number from collectives/boosters, and those recruits can know exactly how much their being offered instead of how much money they have within their NIL pool.

(1:29:17-1:34:14) – The one o’clock hour concludes with Jake and Jimmy looking at the NCAA Tournament dates because Jake realizes that the championship is on the same day as the eclipse.

(1:34:14-2:02:32) – The Dean, Mike Chappell, from CBS4 and FOX59 joins Query & Company on a Monday to highlight what he plans on asking Chris Ballard and Shane Steichen on Wednesday from the combine, accesses if he thinks Anthony Richardson’s opinion is valued yet after just one (limited) season in the NFL, shares his thoughts on what positions he wouldn’t mind seeing the Colts drafting, and if he believes the combine will ever have a said it and forget it location or if they’re going to consistently be year-to-year with where it’s at.

(2:02:32-2:13:31) – Earlier in the day, the Associated Press released their latest top-twenty five rankings. Jimmy provides where Purdue checks in and the latest seedings from ESPN’s Joe Lunardi for Purdue, Butler, and Indiana State. Additionally, Jake rips Indiana for their lack accountability.

(2:03:20-2:09:55) – Today’s show ends with the JCook Plays of the Day and James sharing some final thoughts on storylines before the NFL Combine next week!
