This is 4th century AD under the Roman Empire, a revolt by the Jews against Roman rule.

Yes, this was the latest Jewish resistance against Roman rule,

and it's a very dramatic discovery of a large building and gives us the first insight into this

period called the Tanaic period because of the this was the people who wrote the

missioner which is the code of Jewish law and the Talmud.

And it shows that Lood is one of the oldest cities in the world.

there were almost 100 silver and bronze coins

dating to the to the period between 221 and

shows also that the revolt was forcefully put down with violence and cruelty

because the building was destroyed to its foundation, not just a local uprising as some early

studies had indicated.
