Hi, I'm Peter Adamson, and this is a special and long-awaited announcement about the history of philosophy podcast.

0:06.0

Ever since I began the series, I've been receiving questions and feedback from listeners,

0:11.0

and by far the most frequent comment was that I should really be covering philosophy

0:18.8

I should look not just at European philosophy and philosophy in the Islamic world, but also philosophy in India and China.

Of course, the episodes on Indian philosophy will also be available to stream or download on the

1:10.9

website, W.W. History of Philosophy. net, which will also have links to the new

1:16.7

podcast feed.

1:17.8

While I have your attention, let me share with you a couple of other exciting

1:22.0

announcements.

1:23.0

First, the second volume in the series of books based on the podcast has been published.

1:28.5

It's called Philosophy in the Hellenistic and Roman worlds.

1:32.0

You can get it from Oxford University Press, just like the first

1:35.3

volume on classical philosophy. The new volume takes the story from the Hellenistic schools, the Stoics,
