We've mentioned Subba's Chandra Bose a few times, I would say, and I think it's fair

to say that we haven't always been entirely complimentary of his contribution towards the

second level, but here we've got three young, I'm going to say historians, they are political

scientists, they've studied MAs in international relations, they're historians, they're journalists,

but they're three, I'm going to just say for convenience sake, and I hope Ishi Shreya

and Sudarsha and you're not going to feel offended though, there's three young pioneering

Indian historians, oral historians, I should say, because they've set up the Ogni

drug archive, and it's fascinating, and Ishiya, you're in Berlin, but Sudarsha and Shreya,

you're talking to us from Kolkata, that fabulous city, I've been there several times and

a number of times, and absolutely love it, you've recently been out there.

Yeah, which was amazing, an extraordinary experience, yeah, yeah, incredible place to visit.

And I've been to Berlin too?

Yes, well, we've been to Berlin a few times, yeah.

But anyway, you are all very welcome, and we've got much to talk about, so we should

get on with it.

Yeah, Sudarsha and we met at a thing in Oxford, where I was talking about my book Command,

and you sort of collared me and said, I've been doing this project, talking to Indian

revolutionaries of people who joined Subash Chandra Bose's army, so tell us the story of how

you came to this project and what you've done and what you've discovered.

So basically the project is an initiative of Ishiya and Shreya, so they were the ones

who for the past one year have been working and reaching out to people, and in fact, I

would allow them to give the more thicker description.
