At you look at the Old Testament you see three important offices that God ordained.

Those three are Prophet, Priest, and Help Me Out, King.

Prophet, Priest, and King.

And there were different men who were prophets,

different ones who were priests, different ones who were king,

some were more than one, but you had people who took those roles

that were given to them by God.

All of those offices and the people who filled them

foreshadowed and pointed to the Messiah, Christ. And we see in the life of Christ how he perfectly fulfilled all three of those offices.
