Have you ever had a child, maybe your own child, ask you, where did God come from?

Well, in today's episode of the morning mindset, we are going to answer that question,

definitively and clearly from the book of Genesis.

So take out your Bibles.

We're going to get there in just a moment.

We are starting this new series called God's Story. This is episode number two. We did an

introduction in yesterday's episode, so go back and listen to that. And I want to encourage you,

is what we're covering on the morning mindset. All right, friends, before we dig in to Genesis

chapter one, verse number one, no better place to start. We are going to pray because we need

God's help to understand the depths of what he's saying to us. So, Father, open our ears to hear

your word in fresh ways. We may have read this verse a hundred times, but Lord, we need to

understand it in you every time. Give us your insight, reveal to us yourself. We ask in Jesus'

name, amen. Okay, friends, now the book of Genesis, the word Genesis itself means beginnings.

And so it's very appropriate that we go all the way back to the beginning to see where God began this thing.

We call human history.

And in Genesis chapter 1, verse number one, it says, in the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. Now, take that word beginning for just a moment.

Beginning is the start of something, right? And it's referring because it's speaking to us as human

beings to the beginning of human history, the beginning of what we know as history. And actually,
