Summary

When we were kids, we were always told not to talk to strangers. But you never think something bad is going to happen to you…until it does.

Midsi Sanchez was walking home on her 8th birthday, when a strange man stopped her and asked her for some help. This was the moment that the man pushed her into his vehicle, chained her leg to the gear shift, drove away, and sexually assaulted her for 3 days.

She survived.

On today’s episode, Alex Clark sits down with Midsi Sanchez to share her inspiring story. Midsi is the epitome of strength, courage, & bravery. She took her experience and turned it into something important – a non-profit organization, The Midsi Sanchez Foundation, passionately dedicated to carry forward the fight against child abuse. This is her story.

If you are a victim of sexual assault and need help, use the national Sexual Assault Hotline: 1-800-656-4673

If you are looking for resources to help in a missing child’s case, The Midsi Sanchez Foundation is a resource that can help. Find them HERE.
