This is where most of our days are spent helping build out the library, among other things. Angela and Lucy are amazing women. How do I know? Because they managed to get an entire school of Zambians to see Delora on her birthday. Was there a dry eye in the

Thank you. I basically just wrangled them into being on the

podcast about 10 minutes ago. So they are very sweet to come on to tell us about this school and what

Arise Africa is doing here. I also want to say this is my first time podcasting in the field.

So we're literally at the school by a window where

it's raining and where children are. It's going to be a lot of background noise, but that's okay.

So I want to start with you, Lucy. Tell us what you do here at the Macground School.

Hi, I'm a child sponsorship officer. Yes. So that basically means I'm assigned a little over 30 children.

So my job is to get to know them very well and visit their homes, have conversations with their teachers, and then write monthly reports to their sponsors.

Monthly reports to their sponsors. 30 kids.

That's a lot.
