And today we're going to talk about 2015 and the very best movies that we saw.

Some of the disappointments, we'll look ahead briefly to 2016. Yeah, and we're going to talk about some genre stuff that we saw including our favorite

Horrors and spy movies and this and that. Yeah

But we're going to kick off by each we're going to go around the table and pick a favorite so

Gav do you want to do the first one okay yeah I think top my list got be whiplash

I don't think I had I have experienced anything like that for a while in the cinema and just it was just

such a small story but done in an amazing way just like this sort of this battle between

like two massive characters and it's just really really hard to

watch in places but I think like some of the best action scenes of the year are the

drumming scenes, especially the scene right at the end. I thought that was just

absolutely bonkers but just like a really

really good sort of like character study as well because you go on this like

really small journey but at the same time a really good journey with these two

characters. It's probably over the top but I just

really really enjoyed it there. I think that's the best thing about it is those two central performances,

two huge performances like J.K. Simmons and also Miles Teller who had very limited drumming experience before making that movie and went into an intensive regime to basically play this press and naturally gifted gear.

He's like one of the best drummers in America.
