If you've been in business long enough, then you have wanted to quit, not just once, but probably multiple times. And so the question isn't whether or not it's going to happen, it's what to do when you reach that point. You see, in my career, I have started lots of different businesses, and throughout different points in my life, I have wanted to quit every single one of them. But what I've realized is the desire to quit doesn't make you weak. It just means you have to diagnose where you're currently at in the path. You see, most of the time, you're either too early in the process, you're still learning the game, or you've hit a plateau that you don't know how to solve. And when you reach any of those points, quitting seems like a logical solution because you always think that the grass is greener on the other side doing something else. And so I want to talk about what are the signs when it's leading up to this point and how to solve it. And so the first reason that people usually want to quit is because they're not getting any feedback. They're not locking up any deals. They're not selling any clients. They're not getting the views on their videos. There's just not a lot of traction happening in their

business and so they feel like silence means failure. The reality is results don't

always equal progress. A lot of times you're laying the foundation for what it is

1:07.5

your building and through all of those mistakes, through all of that grinding,

1:11.4

you're reaching the point where you're finally going to break through. The question is, can you

1:15.1

withstand staying in the desert for a long period of time when you don't know how long it's

1:19.8

going to last before you finally reach the promised land? So my main point is, don't mistake just having

1:25.0

results as meaning you've actually made progress. You can make

1:28.2

progress without results. The second reason that a lot of people end up wanting to quit is because

1:32.8

there's just too much noise in the world today. You open up YouTube or Instagram and you've got a

1:37.7

whole new strategy for how to run your business. You're hearing all these different opinions from

1:42.2

all these different influencers and certain people are saying real estate sucks.

1:46.0

Certain people are saying the stock market's going to crash.

1:48.5

Others are saying that small businesses are struggling.

1:50.9

Others are saying that this is the next great opportunity.

1:53.6

The point is, you're valuing way too many different opinions and they all disagree with each other.

1:58.2

And because of that, you end up choosing to do nothing or you feel hopeless. Even for me, as a guy who's on social media, who people watch and listen to, I myself fall victim to the same things that you do. I see these other content creators, I see these other business owners. I'm like, man, dude, this guy's killing it. Why am I not doing what this guy's doing? I see haters make videos about me

2:18.3

and talk crap and all this stuff. And when that happens, I have to make a mental choice about what I do.

2:24.4

Do I listen to it and let it affect how I perceive myself and how I perceive my business? Or do I choose

2:30.2

to ignore all of it and focus in on what I'm doing. But now I can say I'm pretty good at just

2:35.5

ignoring all the noise and not worrying about what anyone else is doing. And I think many of you

2:39.8

watching this would be far better off if you did that. And I'll tell you, the third reason that a lot
