Summary
She stepped out for ten minutes, leaving a sealed glass bottle sitting upright on the kitchen counter. The white screw-top cap was firmly in place. Nothing was heating. Nothing was under pressure.
When she returned, the cap had cracked off.
It hadn’t been unscrewed. It hadn’t shattered. It was resting neatly on the counter as if someone had placed it there, while the bottle remained perfectly upright.
