I wonder, have you ever seen someone worshiping at an idol?

We bowed down in front of an idol, worshiping and giving praise to that hunk of wood or metal or stone.

You may think, nah, I've never seen that, but I bet you that you have and just didn't recognize it as such because it didn't look like what I just described

We're going to get into that in just a moment as we look at Ephesians chapter 5, verse number 5. And before we do, I'm

before we get there we need to ask God to illuminate our hearts and mind so we can see what it is he's telling us in this scripture.

Lord God, we want to understand what you are talking about.

When you say that there is a type of

idolatry going on kind of behind the scenes of some certain behaviors that we

don't always recognize Lord reveal it to us today and show us what that means for our faith in you and how we should be viewing you instead.

Lord, we want our hearts to be fully devoted to you, so please guide us us we ask it in Jesus name.

Okay friends, Ephesians 5, 5. The apostle Paul is referring to a list of sins

he's already mentioned as things that should not be happening
