Hey, Bill. Good to be on the show thank you so I'm

based out of Leipzig which is I mean you're like almost German pro it's in the

east like Middle East not the Middle East but Middle East of Germany and it's an

hour by train to Berlin hour by train right, now I got a good sense.

That's nice.

I cannot wait to be able to get back to Germany and Berlin.

I know.

We are here to kind of learn your story

through kind of your career in tech.

But before we start that, why don't you give everybody

the two-minute kind of pitch on where you are right now and what you're doing?

Sure, that makes sense. So again, I'm Michael. I'm a staff engineer working at VMware,

and I'm working in the office of the CTO at

VMware.

Previously I had a couple of roles there but right now I'm in the office of the CTO and this

is where we prototype and innovate on I would say some like leading bleeding edge

technology and right now like these days I'm mostly on the service mesh space on one hand.

And just to drop names Kubernetes Istio would fall into that category.

And on eventing and like serverless platforms, on the other hand, which would be K-native, for example.

And the end goal of the work you're doing is to, I have to imagine, try to improve
