But today's not just a throwback because I'm back in the solo host chair, but because

almost exactly a year ago, we did a very similar episode. That's right. It is now time for our

newly annual Love is Blind recap. And we are making this annual not just because I'm

obsessed with this show or because Netflix

is a streaming company and therefore of the internet, but because as I said this time last year,

the internet is basically the secret producer of this show as it is for most reality TV shows.

And I'm not just blowing hot air.

I'm not the only one who thinks that, because today I'll

be joined by none other than John Quillan Hill, reality TV scholar and reporter and host of Vox's

Policy and Politics Podcasts the Leeds. As you'll hear her say later in the episode, the fourth wall

constantly being broken by

contestants' awareness of the internet is the unspoken cast member of this season of Netflix's

mega hit dating reality series. But first, we got to set the table a little bit. We got to put
