Chicago and other sanctuary cities are bracing for federal immigration raids in the coming

days, after warnings from the Trump administration. Whispers of the enforcement spread across

Chicago over the weekend, as organizers postponed public events and advocates handed out flyers

reminding people about their rights in the face of an ICE agent.

And yesterday, White House Borders Tsar Tom Holman told CNN, there are plans for agents to head

to those cities this week.

You can expect action in most sanctuary cities across the country.

President Trumps prioritized sanctuary cities because sanctuary cities knowingly release illegal

aliening public safety threats to the streets every day.

In Massachusetts, the Department of Homeland Security announced a new federal immigration

enforcement effort, focused on deporting criminals who entered the country illegally.

In a statement, Boston mayor, Michelle Wu, said that local resources won't be used for the

operation, and the federal government's actions don't, quote, make our community safer.
