Our story begins in the early 1800s when German explorer and traveler,

over at Jasper Setsen, came into possession of a collection of manuscripts in the Middle East.

In that trove was a 94-page volume titled,

a masterpiece to those who contemplate the wonders of cities and the marvels of traveling.

In more civil terms, it was called the Rihalla, which translates into the travels.

This tomb told the story of a man from what is modern day Morocco,

who traveled for 30 years throughout the Islamic world in the 14th century.
