And this is show two of this series, which means that Michelle and I are still kind of feeling our way here,

trying to decide what aspects of the genuinely vast field of Disney collectibles we should be covering with this

podcast.

Which is why when I said we should cover food, I said no.

Jim said no. Because food is not collectible.

Food is perishable.

That half-eaten churo may remind you of a particularly magic moment during a most recent

Disney vacation, but as a general rule of thumb, souvenirs do not require

refrigeration.

But because I was once married to Jim, I know that just because he says something with confidence doesn't actually mean Jim is right.

Food is not a collectible.

Well, that's not what people who were the Disney Springs earlier this week were thinking,

as they came to that spot on the west side between the Starbucks and characters in flight

and then discovered that Disney-Dlish pop-up.

Oh, God, you're talking about that limited time experience thing, across from Disney

Style.

Yes, that pop-up, which sold Disney-themed apparel, which was then presented in specially designed food-inspired packaging.

Just because you buy a t-shirt that's packed in a popcorn box or comes in a pizza slice-shaped container doesn't make it food.
