Douglas, you wrote the strange death of Europe. Are you happy now?

No, I mean, it's a book I regard as being an accurate description of events as they were and an accurate prediction of events as they have turned out,

but it gives me no pleasure whatsoever.

And I knew it never would.

I knew it would never be one of those things where I'd pat myself on the back and say,

well, I'm forgetting that right. I don't feel that at all.

In fact, I said when a strange death of Europe, immigration identity and Islam, as a subtitle,

came out.

I said that it's my fervent desire

that this book proves to be wrong.

I remember you said that to me, an interview about that

and you wanted it to be wrong.

Alas, here we are.

What do you make of the warnings and the people?

Because it wasn't just you obviously

or you're one of the most outspoken out lists,

but all the people that said we were gonna sort of get here.

We were gonna, I don't know that people thought

we were gonna get to the sheer barbarity

and that the defense of it,

but that the general state where we're at,

when I'm quite literally driving here this morning
