The dirt tunnel, deep under the surface of Area 51, was dark.

The lights of her head had been smashed, leaving us with only one flashlight.

Kish, my training officer, held the flashlight in her hand. She picked it up from a pool of blood near a dead man's body.

It was my first day working at Area 51, and things had been going wrong all day.

Landa, another first day trainee, stood nearby with a tight grip on his M4 rifle.

Kish shined the light around, sending it flashing over the mutilated bodies of a dozen other security officers.

There was blood everywhere.

The reinforced metal door just ahead of us had been standing open when we arrived to find all these

dead bodies. But there was no sign of whatever had done it to them. Kish had quickly
